Manx2.com announced today it will launch a brand new route – from the Isle of Man to London Oxford Airport – effective 8 May, 2012. Seats are now on sale through Manx2.com’s website (www.manx2.com) from £49.95 single. Flights, to be operated daily by British Aerospace Jetstream 31 aircraft, will depart from Isle of Man Ronaldsway at 10:55, arriving in London Oxford just one hour later. Oxford departures will be at 15:15, arriving on the Island at 16:25.
The service will connect directly through Oxford on to Manx2’s Jersey service, giving an easy seven day a week connection between the two Crown Dependencies.
With a history stretching back 1,000 years, Oxford is renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the UK, home to a wealth of architectural, historical and cultural attractions, not least home to the oldest university in the English speaking world. It is less than an hour’s drive to London’s West End and offers easy access to the nearby Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Silverstone motor racing circuit, Bicester shopping village, Stratford-upon-Avon and Henley on Thames. These attractions have made Oxford the third most visited city in the UK, after the capitals of Edinburgh and London.
